I love love
Sometimes we all need to read that book that gives us a case of the warm and fuzzies. I love when I’m all snuggled up with my blanket and a glass of wine and I catch myself with the BIGGEST grin on my face because a book has me all torn up in the best ways. While there are countless love stories in the world, here is just a small selection of books I’ve read this past year that give me the butterflies.

Life’s Too Short – Abby Jimenez: Love love love this one. I would put a trigger warning on this one regarding addiction. Abby Jimenez does a beautiful job giving her readers the fun romance and comedy that we crave, while touching on more serious subjects such as addiction and sickness. I immediately fell for the love story between these two characters, and I felt a sense of worry and hope that came with all of the additional factors in the story that just felt so realistic.

While We Were Dating – Jasmine Guillory: I honestly cannot say enough good things about Jasmine Guillory. I will probably do an entire post about her little love universe because I am just that obsessed. While We Were Dating is her latest book in her series. While you don’t have to read the others ones at all, and they don’t need to be read in order, it is way too fun to be on the lookout for other characters. I loved this love story and thought Jasmine Guillory did an amazing job touching on mental health and how this can play a large role in relationships as well.

Twice Shy – Sarah Hogle: This one was way too cute. Honestly, this was the kind of story I just wanted to throw myself in and take the position as the main character. Two strangers inherit a huge fixer upper of a house with two completely different plans for it. As the readers, we get to watch their relationship form as the house gets fixed, and it is so so fun to see everything come together. Warning: reading this will have you on Zillow looking at old mansions in small towns.

People We Meet On Vacation – Emily Henry: Okay I know you’ve seen this title everywhere and now i’m joining the mix. Honestly, I couldn’t help myself. I will say, this one was a bit of a slow burn. AND WORTH EVERY PAGE. I was obsessed. I lived for the format of the book, where we were thrown into flashbacks of their previous vacations they took together. It was such a fun and unique way to get a grasp on two people’s relationship. Throughout the book, you’re stuck wondering how the two got to the point they are at in the present, while piecing together pieces of information from the flashbacks. I cannot recommend this book enough.
Read these books, and then go ahead and thank me in the comments. And then we can start a lil chat about how all of these relationships are pure perfection.
xoxo Reb.
