Silver Falls ✨extended✨

I’m not a fitness queen by any means. I don’t leave and breathe exercise, and I absolutely do not get a thrill at the end of a workout. But, I’ll do a trail to see some waterfalls definitely. While the trail is nice and simple, here are some thing I would recommend to get the full effect:

My boyfriend’s family came out to visit this past weekend, and we took them to see the waterfalls at the Silver Falls campsite. If you might remember, I recently took the trek there with my boyfriend and we saw the first fall. This time around, we did about 5 miles, and saw (I think) 5 waterfalls.

First things first: Please pee. Literally I could have been the reigning supreme of this hike if I had peed beforehand. Don’t be a hero. Ask your group to hold up while you pee at the restrooms at the start of the trail.

Next: this trail is super clear cut, so don’t be too afraid to go off track a few feet to get a clear view of some of the scenery! My boyfriend’s aunt is absolutely fearless and was walking along logs and hopping rocks and it was so. much. fun. It definitely made me feel more connected to the nature we were walking through.

Next point: Okay so this might seem obvious, but whatever. Come up with a plan beforehand! We just kind of decided to wing it and go as far as we could, but since it’s a loop, it made it a bit difficult to just turn around. Also, this is a super popular trail, so there aren’t many spots to just stop to reconvene.

All that being said, I would totally recommend this trail to absolutely anyone, no matter what level of fitness you are at. This hike is so so beautiful. Even when you are in between waterfalls, the views are stunning, and will keep you captivated the ENTIRE time.
